|Status:||Clearance 4 In Stock|
Episode® 650 Commercial Series In-Ceiling 70-Volt Speaker with Tile Bridge and 6 in. Woofer (Each)
Get premium sound quality and unparalleled performance with the Episode® In-Ceiling 70V Speaker. Top-notch components, a wide frequency response, and a two-way design provide exceptional sound clarity and dynamic highs and lows. Add to that a slew of installer-friendly features – including an innovative 3-piece tile bridge, front-mounted tap settings, and all-cardboard packaging – and you’ve got a professional-grade product that’s perfect for your next commercial application. And for the icing on the cake, everything you need for the install ships together. One speaker, one bridge – one box.
UL Listed, Plenum Rated: This commercial speaker is UL listed, as well as plenum rated. It’s approved for use above ceilings in air handling and plenum locations – and has passed the stringent standards needed to get the UL stamp of approval.
Premium Components: Top-quality components provide premium sound quality you have to hear to believe. This speaker has a two-way design featuring a Mica-filled polypropylene woofer and 1” silk dome tweeter with neodymium magnet, plus a 1.2” oversized voice coil. Outstanding driver voicing is combined with a 1st order crossover for sound clarity beyond expectations, while a computer-optimized, low-turbulence tube port provides improved low-frequency response. We even included a self-resetting poly switch to protect the tweeter from harsh spikes, like when a microphone is dropped.
Innovative Tile Bridge – Ships in the Box: Say goodbye to that big, clunky tile bridge that ships in a huge box and is difficult to position in the ceiling. Our new design includes three parts – a steel C-shaped ring and two removable arms. All you have to do is twist on the wing nuts and you’re ready to go. It’s so fast and easy you can even assemble it at the top of a ladder if needed. And of course we include it in the same box as the speaker…because that just makes sense.
Front-Mounted, Tool-Less Tap Settings: Tired of fumbling with hard-to-use selector knobs every time you need to adjust a speaker’s tap setting? This product solves the problem with convenient front-mounted 7.5w, 15w, 30w, 60w taps, plus an option for 8-ohm bypass. Using a screwdriver works great for those hard-to-reach installs, but you can also turn the knob with your hand for fast and easy top-of-the-ladder adjustments.
Fast, Easy Installation: Your in-ceiling install will be fast and easy, thanks to the smart design of this 70V speaker. A swing-out dog mounting system, security wire tabs, and easy-to-remove mounting cover make it simple to secure. Plus, its mounting cover has a ½” knockout for conduit and is held in place by captive screws – so you can loosen them without worrying that they’ll fall out. A removable screw terminal with loop-through connections means wiring is a breeze, while a paintable grille and baffle – with included paint mask – makes color swaps a cinch.
Smarter Packaging: Working on a commercial jobsite that won’t allow EPS foam on the property, or tired of cleaning up huge mounds of trash when the job is over? Our environmentally friendly cardboard packaging cuts down on waste, and we ship everything – including the tile bridge – in the same box. Oh, and did we mention we sell these as single speakers? We know you don’t always need a pair, so we cut down on that waste, too.
Built Strong: This speaker’s high-temperature, UV-stabilized baffle will stand the test of time – and look good doing it. The grille comes with extra reinforcement, too – its pressure points are thicker, ensuring that it won’t fall out no matter how much bass is playing.
